What is Returning running shoes after they have been worn?

In short

Worn returns cover shoes you have already run in, and most brands in this group say no to those.

A worn returns policy tells you whether a brand takes back shoes once you have run in them. Indoor try-ons are one thing, but sweat, scuffed outsoles and a settled midsole sit outside most standard windows. Altra is the exception in this group and accepts worn returns, while BeLenka Europe, Decathlon, Merrell and Mizuno all say no. Practical effect: once the mileage is on them, a refund is gone and you are shopping at resale value instead. Ask before a long run in a new pair, not after.
